Pregnancy Calendar - Week19
Week 19
Your baby is now up to 10 inches in length. This is when your Doctor will begin measure foetal growth from head to toe. Little hairs (lanugo) cover their whole body now. The baby will start its diet of amniotic fluid as the baby can now swallow, digest and pass fluid which when it comes out at the birth will be a black and sticky substance called meconium.
Your Doctor would have advised you to do regular exercise to help you increase your suppleness and flexibility which might help you reduce the physical strain of childbirth. You want to avoid any exercise that will put a strain on you and your pregnant belly. You should also aim to get enough sleep and rest.
