Pregnancy Calendar
The first question people ask once they know you are having a baby is “when are you due?” You will be given an estimated delivery date, or EDD, by your Doctor at your first prenatal visit.
Your estimate delivery date is 40 weeks from the first day of your last menstrual period. You EDD is only an estimate, and a small percentage of women deliver on their actual estimated delivery date.
Another term you will hear or read about is trimester. A pregnancy is divided into three trimesters:
- 1st trimester – week1 to end of week12
- 2nd trimester – week 13 to end of week 26
- 3rd trimester – week 27 to the end of the pregnancy
